Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts to the Journal of Allied Clinical Science and Practice (JACSP). All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to confirm alignment with the journal’s scope, completeness of required components, ethical compliance, transparency expectations, and minimum scholarly quality. Submissions considered suitable proceed to double-blind peer review before a final editorial decision is made.

JACSP is a fully open-access journal. All accepted articles are published online with immediate open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, disseminate, and archive the work.

Before submitting, authors must ensure the following:

Originality and prior dissemination
• Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere.
• Any prior dissemination (e.g., preprints, theses, conference abstracts, repositories, or overlapping related submissions) must be disclosed at submission.

Simultaneous submissions
• Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals at the same time is prohibited.

Ethics approval and consent
• Where applicable, research must have appropriate ethics approval and informed consent, consistent with the legal and ethical requirements of the study’s country.
• Participant privacy and confidentiality must be protected; identifiable information must not be included without explicit consent.

Authorship and accountability
• All listed authors must meet accepted authorship criteria, approve the submitted version, and accept accountability for the integrity of the work.
• Gift, guest, or ghost authorship is not permitted.

Conflicts of interest and funding
• Authors must disclose all financial and non-financial conflicts of interest and all sources of funding or support.
• If none exist, include: “The authors declare that they have no competing interests.”

Data availability and research transparency
• Research articles must include a Data Availability Statement indicating whether data are publicly available, available on reasonable request, restricted, or not applicable.
• Where ethically and legally permissible, authors are encouraged to share data, code, and materials through recognized repositories.

Permissions for third-party content
• Authors must obtain written permission for any third-party copyrighted material (figures, tables, images, tools/instruments/questionnaires, datasets) and include appropriate credit lines and license/permission notes.

Use of AI-assisted tools
• AI-assisted tools may be used for language improvement, readability, and translation.
• AI must not be used to fabricate data/results/citations, generate misleading scientific content, or manipulate images/figures in a non-transparent way.
• Any use beyond basic language support must be disclosed in the manuscript, and authors remain fully responsible for all submitted content. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Minimum quality threshold (desk rejection)
An editor may desk reject a submission that does not meet minimum scholarly, ethical, transparency, or scope requirements. To improve suitability for peer review, ensure a concise title, a self-contained abstract, a sound study design, appropriate analysis, accurate referencing, and a clearly articulated research argument.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions to the Journal of Allied Clinical Science and Practice (JACSP) must meet the following requirements:

• This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines and journal policies.
• This manuscript is original and is not under consideration elsewhere (simultaneous submissions are prohibited).
• Any prior dissemination (preprint, thesis, conference abstract, repository posting, or overlapping related submissions) has been disclosed at submission.
• All authors meet accepted authorship criteria, have approved the submission, consent to being listed as authors, and accept accountability for the work.
• Ethical approval and informed consent (where applicable) have been obtained and are clearly stated in the manuscript.
• Conflicts of interest and funding sources have been disclosed (or a “no competing interests” statement is included).
• A Data Availability Statement is included for research articles (data available / on request / restricted / not applicable).
• All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness, and in-text numbering matches the reference list.
• All tables and figures are numbered, labeled, and cited in the text.
• Written permission has been obtained for any third-party content (figures, tables, images, tools, questionnaires, datasets), and appropriate credit lines/license notes are included.
• Any substantive use of AI-assisted tools has been disclosed in the manuscript, and authors remain fully responsible for all content.

By submitting a manuscript and, if accepted, publishing in the Journal of Allied Clinical Science and Practice (JACSP), authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, disseminate, and archive the article as part of the permanent scholarly record.

Privacy Statement

The names, email addresses, and other personal information entered in this journal site are used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party, except as required for editorial and publishing operations. Personal data may be collected and processed to support manuscript submission, peer review, editorial correspondence, publication, indexing, archiving, and post-publication communication.

Access to personal data is restricted to authorized editorial staff and, where necessary, trusted service providers involved in the journal’s publishing workflow.
